| The First Beginners Underwater Photo contest was created to provide a fun atmosphere for the friends and clients of Casa Escondida resort, and it was more party than a serious competition, something we all like, but the prizes were real. |
On March 16, 2019, Jimmy Dy, owner of Manila Scuba diving Adventure spearheaded the first BUPC event held at Casa Escondida resort, which was designed to be a fun shootout for those new to underwater photography. The Elephant in the room was a lot of owners of uw cameras didn't really like the seriousness nor the over competitive environment of established photo competitions but most would gladly join a fun activity with friends and meet other lighthearted souls, and the big bonus was having real prizes in the end made this fun competition a cheery jocular night for everyone.
